Our Story
The Beginnings Ballydown Presbyterian Church had a long-held desire to actively provide accessible ways for people in Banbridge, especially those with little or no church connection, to hear about the good news of Jesus, ask questions, and find out more about what it truly means to live life to the full. After a lot of prayer and outreach, this ultimately resulted in sending a group of people who love Jesus to plant a new church - The Bridge. We started meeting in January 2024 (initially in a gym!), and have met every Sunday since. | |
Moving to Newry Street In May 2024, after a lot of prayer, we received our keys to our new premises on Newry Street, right in the centre of Banbridge. It's here that we meet for worship every Sunday morning. You can see the picture from our first Sunday on Newry Street, when we were joined by many people from Ballydown.

The Bridge Today We meet for an informal gathering which kicks off around 10.30am and is followed by tea, coffee, juice and snacks. Everyone is welcome to come exactly as you are. Whether you are a Christian looking for somewhere to call home, or a sceptic looking to find out more, you will be made to feel welcome. If you have doubts or want to know more, come along, ask questions and find answers. As we say every Sunday, if you have any disagreements, questions or queries about what is said or done, feel free to grab someone and ask away. We’re okay with noise, we’re okay with mess, and we’re okay with baggage, because Jesus is! We live in a world where people are looking for purpose, meaning and hope - we believe Jesus provides this. If there is any way in which we can serve you, don't hesitate to come along or get in touch. |
